Questions founders ask about flexible teams.
How does Vikartha help startups build a team?
Tell us what you are building, the roles you need, your budget and your timeline. Our team reviews your enquiry and suggests professionals who fit. Once you agree, we set out the scope and terms in a written proposal before anyone starts.
Can I choose my own budget?
Yes. You tell us what you can spend each month and we plan the team around it. If the budget does not cover what you need, we will say so and suggest what is practical, such as fewer roles or part-time hours.
Can I hire professionals for a single project?
Yes. You can bring in professionals for one defined project, such as a product launch or a website rebuild. The scope, deliverables and end date are agreed in writing at the start.
Can I work with professionals part-time?
Yes. Many startups need a designer or marketer for a few days a week, not full-time. Hours and availability are agreed before the engagement begins.
Which roles can I find through the platform?
We currently focus on design, development, marketing and product roles: product and UI/UX designers, frontend, backend and full-stack developers, product managers, growth marketers and content strategists. If you need a role not listed, mention it in your enquiry. The self-serve platform is still being developed, so for now our team handles each enquiry directly.
How are professionals screened?
We review each professional's portfolio or past work and interview them before we suggest them to you. We check that their skills and experience match the role you described, and you can speak to them yourself before you decide.
How are payments and Vikartha's fees calculated?
Pricing for NexCrew is still being finalised. For each engagement we confirm the cost in a written proposal before work starts, with the professional's compensation and Vikartha's fee shown separately. Nothing is charged until you have agreed those terms.
What happens when my project ends?
The engagement closes on the agreed end date, once the agreed work has been handed over. If you need more help, you can extend it or start a new engagement. If you want to hire someone permanently, we can discuss that too.
Can I extend an engagement or change my team?
Yes, subject to the professional's availability. Tell us what has changed and we will update the scope, team or dates with you. Any change to cost or terms is confirmed in writing before it takes effect.
Can professionals apply to join the Vikartha network?
Yes. Designers, developers, marketers and product managers can apply through the Join the Talent Network form on this page. We review every application and contact you when a suitable engagement comes up.
